Muktinath Temple – The World’s Highest Vishnu Temple

Muktinath Temple, located at an altitude of 3,800 meters (12,467 feet) in Nepal’s Mustang region, is one of the world’s highest and most sacred temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Revered by both Hindus and Buddhists, Muktinath is known as the Temple of Salvation (Mukti Kshetra), where devotees believe they can attain liberation from the cycle of birth and rebirth.

The temple is famous for its 108 sacred water spouts (Mukti Dhara) and the two holy ponds known as Mukti Kund, where pilgrims take a ritual bath before offering prayers. The unique combination of natural beauty, spiritual significance, and Himalayan landscapes makes Muktinath one of Nepal’s most important pilgrimage destinations.

Major attractions around the temple include Jwala Mai Temple, featuring the eternal natural flame, Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple, Vishnu Paduka, Narsing Gompa, and the Swaminarayan Nilkanth Varni Meditation Site. Surrounded by the majestic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, the region offers breathtaking views and a peaceful spiritual atmosphere.

Visitors come to Muktinath not only for religious devotion but also to experience the unique culture of Mustang, the beauty of the Himalayas, and a profound sense of peace. A visit to Muktinath is a journey of faith, spirituality, and unforgettable Himalayan experiences.

I randomly came across this tour operator while making reservations at Vaishno Devi. I was skeptical initially especially making arrangements from USA where I am based. I sought help from this tour operator for my Amarnath Yatra. I have nothing but great things to say about Praveen ji. Always prompt to respond to your calls. Reasonable pricing and above all , he will get things done. He has all the contacts and consider your pilgrimage is done. We had challenges with registration and RFID. He got it done. ✅ Strongly recommended. He is the go to guy. He never gets tired of your questions. Love his team!

I randomly found Religious Tour and Travel in google search while planning my Kashmir Valley/Amarnath trip. I booked the tour despite being a bit skeptical since I did not have prior experience with Religious Tour and Travel. I would like to say that my trip was very well organised. Mr. Praveen was always available when there was a need. I made dynamic changes to my itinerary while on travel, and Mr. Praveen was very fexible and supportive. I am pretty happy and would recommend Religious Tour and Travel to others who would like to utilise their services.

If anyone is looking for pilgrimage yatras then this is the right place. I recently booked amarnath yatra for me and my wife and we had a very good experience and was very happy after the Darshan without any hassle. Mr Pravin was very patient with my doubts and gave clarity about the trip perfectly and also the hotel stays he gave was just perfect ( big rooms which we just needed after the yatra to relax ) and very tasty n healthy food we got. The staff at the hotel and tent in Baltal were very polite and even helped us to get pony as well.
