By accessing our website, making an enquiry, submitting a booking request, or confirming a travel package with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Important: Travel arrangements, permits, government regulations, weather conditions, border restrictions, transportation schedules, and local operating conditions may change. Package-specific terms provided at the time of booking will apply where they differ from these general terms.
1. Booking and Confirmation
- A booking request is considered confirmed only after the required booking amount or advance payment has been received and confirmation has been issued by Kailash Himalayas or the relevant service provider.
- Prices and availability may change until the booking is confirmed.
- The traveler is responsible for providing accurate information, including name, date of birth, nationality, passport details, contact information, and other documents required for the journey.
- Any additional cost resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or late information supplied by the traveler may be payable by the traveler.
- Booking confirmation, payment receipts, invoices, itineraries, and other travel documents should be checked carefully by the traveler immediately after receiving them.
2. Payment Terms and Conditions
- The applicable advance payment and balance payment schedule will be communicated at the time of booking.
- The balance amount must be paid within the specified deadline to avoid cancellation of the booking or loss of confirmed services.
- Certain services, including permits, transportation, accommodation, helicopter services, or special arrangements, may have separate payment and cancellation conditions.
- Bank charges, payment gateway charges, currency conversion fees, or other transaction-related charges may be payable by the traveler where applicable.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation and refund conditions depend on the package, travel date, service provider, government regulations, permits, transportation arrangements, accommodation bookings, and other non-refundable commitments.
Cancellation by the Traveler
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing through the official communication channel provided by Kailash Himalayas.
- The applicable cancellation charges will depend on the date of cancellation and the terms of the specific package.
- Advance payments made for permits, government fees, transportation, accommodation, helicopter services, tickets, or other non-refundable services may not be refundable.
- If a traveler cancels after the commencement of the journey, no refund may be available for unused services unless otherwise stated in the package-specific terms.
- No refund will ordinarily be provided for services voluntarily not used by the traveler, including transportation, accommodation, meals, sightseeing, or other inclusions.
Cancellation by Kailash Himalayas or Service Providers
Kailash Himalayas may modify, postpone, suspend, or cancel a service where circumstances beyond reasonable control affect the operation of the journey. These circumstances may include:
- Severe weather conditions
- Heavy snowfall, landslides, floods, or natural disasters
- Road closures or route blockages
- Border restrictions or changes in government regulations
- Permit or visa-related restrictions
- Government orders or security concerns
- Transportation or aviation disruptions
- Health and safety emergencies
- Local authority restrictions
- Force majeure events
Where a cancellation or modification occurs, Kailash Himalayas will make reasonable efforts to assist travelers with available alternatives, rescheduling, or applicable refunds in accordance with the terms of the relevant service providers.
Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed after applicable cancellation charges, non-refundable expenses, service fees, and other deductions have been accounted for. The processing time may vary depending on banks, payment gateways, airlines, hotels, transport operators, government agencies, and other service providers.
- Package-specific cancellation and refund terms will prevail where they are expressly provided to the traveler at the time of booking.
4. Guidelines for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a high-altitude pilgrimage and requires careful physical and mental preparation.
Travelers are expected to:
- Follow all instructions issued by government authorities, local authorities, guides, tour leaders, and service providers.
- Carry valid travel documents, permits, identification, and other documents required for the journey.
- Follow the prescribed route and itinerary and avoid entering restricted areas.
- Respect local customs, religious traditions, cultural practices, and sacred sites.
- Maintain cleanliness and avoid littering in the Himalayan environment.
- Follow all health, safety, acclimatization, and altitude-related instructions.
- Inform the tour operator or tour leader about any relevant travel limitation or difficulty that may affect participation in the journey.
- Understand that high-altitude travel involves inherent risks and that weather, terrain, road conditions, and local circumstances can change rapidly.
- Travelers must not undertake activities beyond their physical capabilities.
- The final itinerary may be modified when necessary for safety, operational, regulatory, weather, or logistical reasons.
5. Medical Fitness and High-Altitude Travel
- Kailash Mansarovar and other Himalayan pilgrimage destinations involve high-altitude environments. Travelers should ensure that they are physically prepared for the journey.
- Where a medical certificate, health certificate, fitness certificate, or other medical documentation is required by the relevant authority or package, the traveler must obtain and submit it within the prescribed time.
- Travelers are responsible for consulting an appropriate medical professional before undertaking high-altitude travel.
- Kailash Himalayas does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment and cannot guarantee that a traveler will be medically capable of completing the journey.
6. Passport, Visa and Permit Requirements
- Travelers are responsible for ensuring that their passport and other travel documents are valid and meet the requirements applicable to their nationality and selected route.
- Where visas, permits, registrations, authorizations, or other official approvals are required, travelers must provide the necessary information and documents within the specified deadlines.
- Approval of any visa, permit, registration, or government authorization is subject to the decision of the relevant authority and cannot be guaranteed by Kailash Himalayas.
7. Accommodation
- Accommodation is provided according to the selected package and availability.
- Hotel names or properties may be changed to another property of similar category when required due to availability, operational circumstances, local restrictions, or other reasons.
- Room allocation is subject to hotel policies. Any additional expenses for room upgrades, extra beds, room service, laundry, minibar, or other personal services are generally payable by the traveler.
8. Transportation and Itinerary Changes
- Transportation schedules and routes may be affected by weather, traffic, road conditions, local restrictions, mechanical issues, government instructions, or other operational circumstances.
- Kailash Himalayas reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the itinerary when necessary for the safety and convenience of travelers.
- Any additional cost arising from circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the company may be payable by the traveler, where applicable.
- 9. Helicopter Services
- Helicopter services are subject to weather conditions, aviation regulations, operational availability, government instructions, and the policies of the helicopter operator.
- Flight schedules may change or flights may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of Kailash Himalayas.
- Where helicopter tickets or services are included in a package, their cancellation and refund conditions will be governed by the applicable helicopter operator and booking terms.
10. Muktinath, Pokhara and Kathmandu Services
- Services related to Muktinath Temple, Pokhara sightseeing, Kathmandu sightseeing, hotels, transportation, guides, and other local arrangements are subject to local operating conditions and availability.
- Sightseeing schedules may be changed due to weather, traffic, local events, religious activities, road conditions, government restrictions, or other circumstances.
11. Personal Expenses
Unless specifically mentioned in the package, travelers are responsible for personal expenses, including:
- Personal shopping
- Laundry
- Telephone and internet charges
- Additional meals and beverages
- Room service
- Personal medicines
- Travel insurance
- Porter or additional baggage charges
- Tips and gratuities
- Additional transportation
- Emergency evacuation or medical expenses
- Costs arising from voluntary itinerary changes
12. Travel Insurance
- Travelers are strongly encouraged to obtain suitable travel insurance covering the nature of their journey.
- For high-altitude pilgrimage travel, travelers should carefully review whether their insurance covers medical treatment, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, delays, lost baggage, and high-altitude activities.
13. Force Majeure
Kailash Himalayas shall not be held responsible for failure, delay, modification, or interruption of services caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control. Such circumstances may include natural disasters, extreme weather, epidemics, pandemics, political unrest, strikes, civil disturbances, government restrictions, border closures, security situations, road blockages, transportation disruptions, aviation restrictions, or other unforeseen events.
14. Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate personal and travel information
- Carrying required documents
- Following the agreed itinerary and official instructions
- Respecting local laws and customs
- Following safety instructions
- Taking reasonable care of personal belongings
- Paying additional expenses arising from personal requests or actions
- Maintaining appropriate behavior toward fellow travelers, staff, local communities, and service providers
Any traveler whose behavior creates a safety risk, causes serious disruption, or violates local laws or regulations may be removed from a service or itinerary without entitlement to a refund, subject to applicable law and the circumstances involved.
15. Website Information
Kailash Himalayas makes reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and up to date. However, travel information, prices, schedules, routes, government requirements, permits, accommodation, and operating conditions may change. Information displayed on the website should therefore be considered subject to confirmation at the time of booking.
16. Third-Party Services
Some services may be provided by independent third-party operators, including hotels, transportation companies, helicopter operators, airlines, guides, local agencies, and other suppliers. Such services are subject to the terms, policies, schedules, and operational conditions of the respective providers.
17. Photography and Personal Belongings
- Travelers are responsible for their personal belongings, documents, money, electronic devices, luggage, and valuables throughout the journey.
- Kailash Himalayas is not responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
- Travelers should also follow local rules concerning photography and filming, particularly at religious, military, border, or restricted locations.
18. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- Kailash Himalayas reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions when necessary to reflect changes in services, regulations, operational requirements, or applicable laws.
- The latest version published on this webpage will apply to future bookings unless otherwise specified.
19. Acceptance of Terms
- By making a booking or participating in a tour or pilgrimage arranged by Kailash Himalayas, the traveler confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions, including the applicable Cancellation and Refund Policy and Guidelines for Yatra.
- Travelers are encouraged to read all package-specific inclusions, exclusions, payment schedules, cancellation conditions, and travel requirements carefully before making a booking.
